  Concentrated sulfuric acid pump selection is a common problem for chemical industry practitioners, in many production processes will be used in concentrated sulfuric acid pumps, which inevitably involves the selection of problems, such as improper selection, the lesser of which can result in increased costs, increased maintenance, affecting the production, the heavier of which may lead to the safety of personal and property, so how to correctly select the type of one of the most important issues!

  Case medium: 98% concentrated sulfuric acid

  Specific gravity of the medium: 1.84

  Medium temperature: room temperature

  Solid particles in the medium content: 1% fine particles

  Conveying flow design: 12 cubic metres / hour

  Conveying head design: 20 metres selection overview:

  First, the material: originally can be resistant to concentrated sulfuric acid material has a lot, but I suggest the material or fluorine plastic (PTFE / F46), because the material is not only excellent corrosion resistance, its sealing and mechanical strength is also outstanding to ensure the safety and longevity in the process of conveying concentrated sulfuric acid, so to determine the fluorine plastic for concentrated sulfuric acid pump material.

  Therefore, it can be calculated that the pump needs to be equipped with the motor power of at least "1.9 × 1.84 = 3.496", so the motor power should be selected as: 4KW!

  Fourth, machine seal selection: the original seal can be ignored, but the case mentioned, the medium contains 1% of fine particles, so the best choice of seal wear-resistant seal - carbide seal, particle-resistant seal.
